Rates and dates used, current as of July 2026: PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and the Housing Levy are due on the 9th of the month following the payroll period. VAT and Turnover Tax returns are due on the 20th of the month following the tax period. Annual income tax returns for individuals are due by 30 June each year. If a due date falls on a weekend or public holiday, KRA generally expects payment by the last working day before it, this tool shows the calendar date, confirm the working-day adjustment for your exact date with KRA.
